My Time at Sandrock: How to Update Your Home

Upgrading homes in My Time at Sandrock is much more complicated than in Portia, so players might have some questions.

Upgrading a home and Workshop are necessary in My Time at Sandrock to get more space for decorations. While the yard can be expanded out in the world, players will have to go to a special shop in order to expand their homes, get new buildings outside, and more.

In order to make a home bigger, add a stable, barn, or chicken coop, or change the roof, players will have to head to the Construction Junction. This is the store between Town Hall and Pete's.

It is a construction company with many items for sale, a treasure chest, and a menu to change a home's layout. It is run by one of the fourteen romances options in My Time at Sandrock, Heidi.

This is the location of Construction Junction on the map of Sandrock. It is right next to town hall, just like the house-upgrade builders in the previous game in the series My Time at Portia.

Unlike the upgrade system in Portia, Sandrock's allows players to choose how to grow their home and in what direction. All that's needed are Gols, the money in My Time at Sandrock.

After interacting with the upgrade store in Construction Junction, choose an item to change. This can be adding awnings, adding square footage, adding roofs, decorating the outside of the home with signs, and adding animal buildings.

The Architecture menu will allow players to choose a new roof or add square footage and floors. This allows players to customize their homes in ways that just couldn't be done in Portia, and it is one of the many wonderful changes made for the new game by developer Pathea.

The structures menu will give players the option to add things like coops and barns so they can have pets and livestock in this farming simulation game. Click and drag where the items will be placed; the amount the changes will cost will appear in the bottom right corner.

Since these upgrades can get pretty pricey, players will want to farm some Gols. The best ways to get Gols are to complete as many commissions as possible and to sell fish to the Saloon as often as possible.

Players can also earn a ton of Gols by crafting difficult items to sell to the local shops, like Recyclers in My Time at Sandrock.

My Time at Sandrock is available in Early Access for PC.
