ELIZABETH — The 2022 Wirt County Fair will be Aug. 3-6 at Camp Barbe 4-H campgrounds near Elizabeth.
Daily general admission is $7 for ages 3 and up, free for children 2 and under. Season tickets are $25.
The carnival will be open 4-11 pm. Wednesday through Friday and Saturday from 1-5 p.m. and 6-11 p.m. More information about the Wirt County Fair is available online at wirtcountyfair.com.
This year’s entertainers will include the Wirt County High School Band, Stu Wajda, Grace Barber, Neon Moon, Laurel Creek, Midnight Outlaws and Ryan Cain.
The schedule of activities includes:
* 1 p.m.: Judging of exhibits begins
* 5 p.m.: Truck pulls registration
* 5:30 p.m.: Flag raising and dedication of the fair
* 5:45 p.m.: Wirt County High School Band concert
* 6;15 p.m.: Little Miss and Mister Wirt County Fair Pageant
* 7 p.m.: Livestock Show and Showmanship — hogs; truck pulls; Miss Wirt County Fair Princess and Teen pageants; Queen of the Fair Pageant
* 4 p.m.: Carnival opens; Cornhole Tournament
* 5 p.m.: Stu Wajda; ATV Drag Race registration
* 6 p.m.: Bingo; Grace Barber; Livestock Show and Showmanship Beef, Sheep and Goats; ATV Drag Race
* 10 a.m. to noon: Enter flower exhibits
* 1 p.m.: Judging of the Flower Show
* 5 p.m.: Look Alike Contests registration; Garden Tractor Pulls registration
* 6 p.m.: Bingo; 4X4 Jamboree Registration; Garden Tractor Pulls; Mother and Daughter Look Alike Contest
* 6:15 p.m.: Father and Son Look Alike Contest
* 9 a.m. to noon: Mud Bog registration
* 9-10:30 a.m.: Pretty Baby Contest registration
* 11 a.m.: Chicken dinner; Children’s Business Fair; Pretty Baby Contest
* 1 p.m.: Carnival opens; Bingo; Watermelon Eating Contest; Mud Bog
* 4 p.m.: Kiddie Pedal Pull registration
* 4:30 p.m.: Kiddie Pedal Pull — Pavilion
* 5:30 p.m.: Skillet Throwing Contest
* 6:30 p.m.: Haybale Throwing Contest
* 7:30 p.m.: Nail Driving Contest
* 9 p.m.: Claiming of exhibits
