In a sea of farmers, there is a group you might not expect: celebrities.

Celebrities have their own interests away from the spotlight, and for some celebrities, agriculture is one of them.

Singer and actress Esperanza Perez Padilla (Esperanza Perez Padilla) is no exception, her stage name Zsa Zsa Padilla is better known.

When she is not performing on screen, the sacred goddess of the Philippine entertainment industry likes to spend time at their family farm in Luban Kilib, Quezon Province.

On her YouTube channel, she showed her followers the 5.5-hectare Esperanza Farm.

The singer and actress shares her love of agriculture and cooking with her partner Conrad Onglao.

Although their farm is still under construction, it has been planted with various ornamental plants, edible crops, Nipa huts for rest and accommodation, ponds, rice fields, chicken coops, goat fences and more!

If you visit this place, you will be welcomed by dense ornamental plants, such as different types of honeycomb ginger plants (Zingiber spectabile) as you walk through gravel paths.

The updates and improvements of Esperanza Farm are recorded by Padilla and can be watched on her YouTube channel.

As her video blog shows, the once-empty chicken coop now houses a few chickens, while the roofless shed has become habitable and is now home to two cows.

Some of Esperanza Farm’s crops include papaya, ginger, citrus or lemongrass, and Onglao’s favorite orange Havana.

When visiting the audience around the farm, she shared that whenever she and Onglao travel to Japan, they will go to the local market to buy different kinds of sweet potatoes because they think sweet potatoes are delicious and easy to breed.

Because of their love of kamote, they planted several different sizes and colors of this root crop on their farm. According to Padilla, "[Growing] is really fun and [eating] is full."

Padilla also mentioned that the property has fruit trees such as grapefruit and coconut trees, as well as a bamboo forest.

They also plant flowers next to the crops to increase crop yields and prevent pests. Their family no longer buys rice from the market because they buy it from the farm.

There are separate ponds for tilapia, lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) and water lilies (Nymphaeaceae). The farm also offers stunning views of the Bannahau Mountain.

Padilla said that when buying large quantities for agricultural purposes, the availability of water must be considered. She went on to say that using spring water is also important for plant growth.

To ensure this, the water from the Esperanza Farm has been bacteriologically tested and the results have shown that it is safe to drink or use.

Esperanza Farm is a peaceful place. In the farm, there is a greenhouse, which is filled with many thriving orchids and other ornamental plants.

Padilla mentioned in a farm video blog that she doesn't have to worry about watering her flora because they have a sprinkler system in the greenhouse. Some of the orchids she showed are Dendrobium varieties.

The couple continued to implement the plans they had left for the land, but from the outside, the farm was already beautiful and well thought out.
