Kudos to the Catfish Place for providing over 150 meals for the Deputies and support staff at the Osceola County Sheriff ’s Office, who were activated during Hurricane Ian. New Faith Community Church from Holopaw blessed the Florida National Guard at Osceola Heritage Park with a church service. The National Guard were also given roping lessons from Heavenly Hooves as a “thank you” for their service during Hurricane Ian.

The St. Cloud Fire Rescue Department deployed a strike team to Southwest Florida to assist those hit hard by Hurricane Ian in Punta Gorda. The team brings with them equipment for rope operations, vehicle machinery rescue and confined space operations. Godspeed, SCFR!

Due to the recent hurricane impact, state Rep. Fred Hawkins’ office is now open seven days a week to better serve his constituents. For more information, call legislative aide Rocky Haag at 407-583-9443 or email Rocky.Haag@ myfloridahouse.gov.
